XB10 for Gig Service
Hello, I just had 1gig up/down fiber service installed yesterday and I was given a XB7 modem and router, so im not getting the 1.2gb fiber speeds past the modem because it only has 1 port that supports these speeds. Is there a reason I didn't receive a XB10 to support the full speeds of my fiber service?

If you have EPON (Fiber to the Home), you need to request an XER10, not an XB10. Hope you get it worked out.

@user_xsx3xt thank you for using the Xfinity Community Forums page to reach out today. I understand that you have a concern regarding the equipment you received for your service. Let's see what we can do about getting that swapped out for a newer device together. Can you send over a direct message with your full name and complete service address to get started?

@user_xsx3xt To send a direct message to Xfinity Support;
• Click "Sign In" if that prompt is visible
• Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person but don't do that.
Instead, type Xfinity Support there. As you are typing a drop-down list appears.
• Select "Xfinity Support" from the list. An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter or tap the > icon to send it
