XB10 stuck at 100 Mbps upload on 1Gb Symmetrical Plan (Likely Provisioning/Bootfile Issue)

Hello!

I'm currently subscribed to Xfinity's 1 gig symmetrical service, and the Xfinity Plan Builder for my account shows 1 Gig download / 1 Gig upload as my current plan.
I recently switched from an XB8 to the new XB10 gateway.

However, my actual upload speed is still hard-capped around 100–110 Mbps, while my download speed is around 1 Gbps.

I've already completed the following troubleshooting:

Tested using a direct wired Ethernet connection.

Verified that my computer's NIC is negotiating correctly and is capable of multi-gigabit speeds.

Power-cycled the XB10.

Confirmed that the issue persists after switching from the XB8 to the XB10.

I also noticed an apparent discrepancy in my account, I attempted to talk on the phone with an agent as well as texting one and they didn't get it and sent me to the store, which i went into the store and they said they couldn't do anything as "it's all back end stuff we cannot touch", which, fair.

Here's what I saw.

"Plan Builder: 1 Gig download / 1 Gig upload listed as my current Plan"

"Current Services: 1 Gig plan up to 1000 Mbps download / up to 100 Mbps upload"

My actual wired speed test results correspond to the latter: approximately 1 Gbps download and 100 Mbps upload.

Could an Xfinity support representative please check my account provisioning, rate codes/service tier, and gateway configuration to determine why my account is showing 1 Gig symmetrical service in Plan Builder but is still provisioned for approximately 100 Mbps upload?

I already have the XB10 installed, so I'm primarily looking for the account/service provisioning discrepancy to be investigated rather than another equipment replacement.

I can provide screenshots of both the Plan Builder and Current Services pages if needed.

Thank you!

Greetings, @ I hope your week has been treating you well. Thanks so much for taking a moment out of your busy day to leave a post on our community forum about this upload provisioning issue. You have definitely come to the right place for assistance.

Were you getting the full 1000 Mbps upload speed before you upgraded to the XB10, or did the equipment upgrade coincide with a new symmetrical service package?

Hello! the weeks been hectic but overall enlightening- I hope your week has been great though!

To answer the question, I wasn't. I've been getting 1000mbps download and 90-115mbps upload my whole time at the rental home I'm staying in.
Upgrading to the XB10 has made it more, stable but- the same results regardless.

I had a tower engineer with you guys come out here and he actually enlightened me a lot on what the heck is going on and basically, within my area and a lot of other areas, most of them are mid split towers but on the sales rep side it shows that the towers are actually FDX- So I was sold something I can't even really use basically, which sucks because I'm paying for something I don't even use fully to no fault of my own.

He gave me his number and said he would send updates on anything regarding my area, he advised that I stick with the XB10 for a couple of days and see how it is and if anything wonky goes on, just rollback to the XB8 until my area has been updated.

But, I question though now- I've been paying for a service for almost a year that hasn't been doing what I paid for each month, so how can we fix that without messing up my service and price lock going forward?

Thank you, that is very kind. Hopefully your week was peaceful while being busy.Basically, we would need to look at other plans to try and get one that matches what is available, that may require a ticket as anything we have access to would not be at a lower/promotional rate. This would take some time to get done, but we have time, and we are here to help.
