XB8 automatically turns on WiFi 6 GHz frequency even when turned off in settings.

Can an official Xfinity rep explain how to turn off the 6 GHZ spectrum on an XB8 so that Xfinity doesn't automatically turn it back on.  Either that or explain how the security protocol can be changed because it is greyed out in settings unlike the other GHZ bands where security protocol can be changed.  6GHZ band can't be changed off WPA3, and when the overall band is turned off, Xfinity must have a routine or process that turns it back on.  This is causing problems with PODS and making handoffs not work with some devices.  It's a real problem.

Thank you for that information @kf08844 Have you noticed if the setting turns back on when there is an update on the modem?

Yes it turns itself back on and it causes problems with all of the network devices due to the network having WPA2 on 2.4 & 5 and then 6 comes back on and it is WPA3 which disconnects several devices including the Pods in my home network. I cannot remove it permanently due to the Gateway not even allowing me to edit the setting. So much for having a personal network controlled by what xfinity decides I should have or do. If I want my whole network to be WPA2 then how is that a problem?
I have two home offices and work two different companies out of my home and I have sub-par network equipment provided by restricted controls. I pay for the service to get to my house I don't pay for the provider to tell me how it should work.
