I too have been anxiously waiting for some updates regarding the X-Class Internet which is the beginning of DOCSIS 4.0 rollout by Comcast.  Initially it is only rolling out to limited markets including Colorado Springs, Philadelphia, and Atlanta.

Since I live in Colorado Springs I reached out to Comcast in November of last year and asked about availability.  I must have got lucky as the person I spoke to via chat actually knew what I was talking about and told me that the initial rollout would be small, 100 or so homes at a time.  It wasn’t available to me yet, but they told me that starting in 2024 the rollout pace would increase.

Unfortunately, my luck must have run out because now any recent attempt to get an update has only been met with confusion by Xfinity support reps when asked about X-Class internet.  If you find out anymore regarding availability, please update your post.

Hello @user_amctjv, thank you for taking the time to reach out on social media.  You've reached the right department, and I'm happy to provide more information.

Gigabit x10 will generally be available to homes within one-third of a mile of Comcast's fiber network (subject to individual serviceability determination) and will require the installation of professional-grade equipment.

Speed is an integral part of our strategy and the launch of Gigabit x10 underscores that message. Comcast has been and continues to be, a leader when it comes to delivering the fastest broadband speeds in the U.S., and Gigabit x10 continues that leadership position. As one of the nation's fastest internet providers, we've long been considered a speed leader with a history of increasing internet speeds to meet the changing needs of our consumers.

Additional resources and time are required for the installation of the professional-grade Gigabit x10 equipment. As a result, the premium installation charge is higher than Comcast's installation fee for other Xfinity Internet services.

During the premium installation, Comcast reviews the network and connections providing service to your home to help ensure that the speeds available with Gigabit x10 can be received. The premium installation includes an on-site site survey and speed test to verify that, with proper equipment, Comcast's network is capable of providing the download speeds available with Gigabit x10 to your home. The installation process may take six to 12 weeks to complete.
