X-class Services availability in California

Dear Comcast Xfinity,

Please do you know when (estimated) the new X-Class services (specifically X-2Gig) for California, more precise for the ZIP Code [Edit: removed personal information].

I have the XB6 modem for 6 years, and my current plan is the 2Gb/300Mbs and I can not get the best from the plan, and I would like to avoid moving to XB8 and therefore change again to XB10.

With kind regards,

Regardless of when X-Class will be in your area, you absolutely should not be using an XB6 for the Gigabit X2 plan. You’re literally capped at 1Gbps, because the Ethernet ports are only 1Gbe, and it does not support WiFi 6E. You’re wasting your money on the plan, no offense. You need to go to an Xfinity store tomorrow and swap it out for an XB8.

Thank you for your recommendation, I am not paying more for this plan, I got this without additional costs from my original plan, I was planning to wait for XB10 and do this just once, because always you are going to face issues when you change things in network, but I almost convinced to upgrade for XB8, X-class will take some time to get in my zip

Thank you so much for your post for help with X class upgrades. There is no active list of dates for these upgrades, and not all areas will be able to upgrade. Currently, in California, only Sacramento customers are eligible in specific areas. I would recommend upgrading your modem in the meantime to take advantage of your full speed.
