Xfi pod not coming online
A friend recently gave me a first generation Xfi pod and I have been trying to set it up in my apartment. During the setup process, the pod first says it's connected but then it says "we're having trouble getting your pod online." When I look at the devices listed on my account, the pod shows up but it is listed as offline. I've tried all of the troubleshooting tips Xfinity provides multiple times but nothing is working. I'd like to speak with a customer service representative to figure out what can be done.

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there.
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Xfinity customer service was completely unhelpful. Spent 8+ hours going back and forth only to find out that they won't do anything about it. Their response was "It looks like since you are using a 1st generation pod it cannot receive the needed updates. You would need to upgrade the Pod to one of our new generation ones as the 1st generation will no longer work without the necessary updates. Are you interested in purchasing a new pod?" Why should I be expected to pay for a new pod when their product is faulty? Then they said if I had purchased the upgraded package for my xfinity plan it would have come with a pod and essentially it was my own fault. Terrible service from a terrible company.
