Xfinity provided router doesn’t support 2.4 GHz
How do I directly email Xfinity to make a complaint about their router?
I need 2.4 GHz to connect my Roborock and a secure camera, but I couldn’t. I used “Xfinity Assistant” which transferred me to a live agent. He told me to go to the admin page and disable the 5 GHz and then enable it. It didn’t work neither. I had to use my own router and set up my devices successfully. I want to complain to Xfinity so that they stop providing those routers to their customer.

It does broadcast a 2.4ghz signal, but all devices will default to the 5ghz as far as I understand. I dont have an answer for you regarding your roborock connection, but you need to install an application like Inssider which will analyze your wifi signals and you can see which channel youre broadcasting 2.4ghz at
Im having issues with signal overlap at the moment, so I can understand your frustrations with Xfinity's app, customer service process, and technical support (or lackthereof)

Good afternoon @user_om360q, and thank you for reaching out to on our Community Forums page with your equipment feedback, we appreciate it and hope you are otherwise having a wonderful week so far! I'm sorry to hear that you are running into issues enabling the 2.4GHZ on your gateway to connect to your Roborock and secure camera, I understand where your frustrations are coming from. Our gateways do support 2.4GHz bands. For more information, I have included the following link to our website https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/benefits-same-wifi-network-password-name-xfi-gateway.
I have also provided the following article with instruction on how to change your home network's WiFi Channel Selection or Mode with the Xfinity app or the Gateway Admin Tool https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/change-wifi-mode-admin-tool-xfinity-xfi. Have you tried these steps? If so, please let us know and we'd be happy to troubleshoot further.
We are always looking for ways to improve our products and services though and always welcome feedback. If you'd like to leave feedback, you can do so directly on our website here https://www.xfinity.com/support/svp-contact-form.
