Cannot Download App/Set Up Internet

Hey yall!

I have an iPhone 6 which cannot update to IOS 13. Xfinity is requiring me to download the app to set up my internet. I was on the phone with them for an hour which got me nowhere. Does anyone else have this issue? Do I really need to buy a new iphone to set up my internet? Seems so unnecessary!

It would require the app, we don't have a web browser version to help with activation, but as we mentioned, https://comca.st/3zs4R35. Once you establish a temporary Internet connection to the modem with an Ethernet cable or wireless router, it should pull up the welcome message to set it up. If you are still having issues, can you please reach out through private message (by clicking on the chat icon on the top right of the page) with your first and last name, name on the account if different, and service address?

I no longer work for Comcast.

i hooked up all cables (including the cable connection to desktop).  after about 2 minutes i did get a setup screen on the desktop browser!  i followed the prompts and it seemed to work great for the internet connections.  i did have to call support because the comcast/xfinity phone system did not reconnect without tech support intervention.

Connect it to the coax line and power it up. Let it fully sync up with the system, and check that the front panel indicator lights are steadily lit.

Then connect a computer to it and open up a browser. You *may* see their *Walled Garden* modem self registration page. If so, follow the screen prompts. Have your mobile telephone number, your Xfinity username and password, or the account number and telephone number associated with your Comcast account handy.

If not, try calling 1-855-652-3446. That is their device activation line.

If that doesn't work for you, you can call 1-800-comcast and tell a rep that you would like to have a new modem provisioned for service. Have the RF / CM / HFC MAC address and the serial number of it handy when you call.
